PassLink

Product Ownership & End-to-End Delivery of a SaaS Link-in-bio Platform

PassLink preview PassLink preview

I built PassLink entirely on my own β€” from the idea to the live site. I started by figuring out what the platform needed to do and what it didn't, then coded, tested and adjusted until it was ready to ship. The goal: a Link-in-bio alternative that's cheaper and simpler than what already exists.

01 Brief & Project Scope

The starting point: a lot of people need a page to centralise their links, but Linktree and its competitors are either too expensive or too complicated. Before writing a single line of code, I listed what was non-negotiable β€” an affordable price, quick setup and a public page that makes you want to sign up. That's what guided every decision after.

02 My Role & Deliverables

I handled everything myself β€” I was at the same time the one defining what needed to be built, the one prioritising and planning, and the one building it. I chose the stack from the start to be able to move fast and adjust easily. And before considering a feature done, I tested it myself end-to-end to make sure it actually did what it was supposed to do.

03 Key Product Decisions

Dashboard PassLink

Dashboard Refonte β€” Architecture Decision

The first version of the dashboard loaded everything at once β€” which made it slow. I split it into lighter separate pages that only load data when needed. Navigation became much smoother and the database stopped being under constant pressure. I tested everything manually before pushing the update.

Connexion Passwordless

Passwordless Auth β€” UX Arbitration

Creating a password felt unnecessary for what PassLink offers. So I removed it entirely β€” you sign up and log in with just your email. Less friction at the most critical step, more people making it through to the app. A small call that had a real impact on completion rate.

Permissions Management

Strict security of access logic to sensitive dashboard data.

04 Acquisition Strategy & CRO

Pricing PassLink

Conversion Funnel

The home page was designed so you understand in 5 seconds what it is and want to try it. Clear message, clean design, and a 7-day free trial with no commitment to remove the hesitation around paying before knowing the product.

SEO PassLink

SEO Foundations

Before going live, I ran a full crawl audit to check that all pages were properly indexed, no broken links, no duplicate content. Not the most exciting part, but getting it right from the start avoids bigger problems down the line.

05 Key Takeaways

Managing a project alone from start to finish taught me to prioritise β€” you can't do everything, so you have to choose what actually matters.

Every decision I made came from a real problem I had spotted β€” not a gut feeling. That habit of identifying the issue before jumping to the solution is something I want to carry into every project.

Understanding the technical side helped me make the right calls early and avoid having to redo things later β€” which is exactly what being a good technical project manager means to me.
