End-to-end Project Management β€” E-commerce Platform β€” €10,000+ Revenue

With my co-founder, we launched an e-commerce shop selling homemade cookies. I handled everything on the technical side β€” the site, payments, logistics. We organised ourselves from the start so we could move in parallel without stepping on each other. Result: €10,000+ in revenue in two months.

01 Brief, Scope & Team Organisation

The idea was simple: sell a physical product online, with traffic coming from social media. The first thing we did was answer one question β€” who does what? I took care of the site, payments and logistics. He handled the product and the social content. We synced up regularly throughout to make sure both sides were moving at the same pace.

02 Technical Choices & Delivery Milestones

We needed to be online fast. I chose WordPress + WooCommerce because it let us launch quickly without sacrificing flexibility for later. I then added Stripe and Chronopost one by one, testing each integration properly before moving on to the next.

E-commerce Core

WordPress & WooCommerce for product catalogue management and order processing.

Secure Transactions

Stripe API integration for reliable, PCI-compliant payment processing.

Logistics Automation

WooCommerce API connected to Chronopost for automated shipping label generation β€” a crucial time-saver during order peaks.

03 User Experience (UX) & Conversion (CRO)

The traffic came from social media β€” mostly mobile. So the purchase journey had to work perfectly on a phone, with as few steps as possible between "I want this" and "order confirmed".

Express Checkout MT COOKIES

One-Click Mobile Payments

I added Apple Pay and Google Pay so people could pay in one tap without entering their card details. Combined with an express checkout straight from the cart, the whole process took under 30 seconds on mobile. That's what made the difference on conversion.

Real Results: +€10,000 in Revenue

When orders started coming in, the Chronopost integration meant shipping labels were generated automatically β€” which saved us a lot of time during the busy periods. Real orders, real customers, real logistics to handle.

UI/Design

Clean, elegant interface designed to place product photography at the centre of attention and maximise visual impact.

04 Performance & Technical Optimisation

The site had a lot of product photos. Without optimisation, that kills load times β€” and on mobile, a slow site means lost sales.

Load Time: Under 1.1s (LCP)

Achieved through aggressive asset compression, next-gen WebP image conversion, and advanced server-side caching policy.

Asset Processing

Systematic conversion to WebP format, aggressive compression, and lazy loading to handle the full product catalogue without impacting performance.

05 Acquisition Strategy & SEO Foundations

Most of the traffic came from social media. But I still ran an SEO audit before going live β€” making sure all product pages were indexed properly and without errors. It costs nothing to do it right from the start.

Audit SEO MT COOKIES

Technical Audit (Deep Crawl)

100% success rate (status 200) across all product pages. Zero 404 errors. Clean XML sitemaps. A deep crawl audit was the sole strategic approach applied systematically to guarantee perfect indexing of the entire catalogue.

Structured Data

Schema.org markup implemented to display products and prices directly in Google search results.

06 Key Takeaways

Working with someone taught me to organise things so each person can move forward without waiting for the other β€” and to sync regularly so nothing goes off track.

This was the first project where I had real customers, real orders and real problems to solve β€” logistics, customer service, traffic spikes. That changes how you think about a project.
